Silvia DuBois was a slave in New Jersey who attained her freedom and died a centenarian in 1888.  In this one-act play actress Lisa G. Fleming performs scenes and reminisces from Sylvia's long life.

Middle East Realignment: Discuss World Affairs in the Adult School's Great Decisions Series

The class will view PBS broadcasts and discuss global issues shaping U.S. foreign policy and the world. Briefing books which provide historical background are included with the 4 and 8 week classes. Tabulated opinion ballots from the class are shared with the White House, Congress, Departments of State and Defense, the press and the public.

Computer Classes

Family Astronomy Night

Meet first in the library's meeting room on the main floor to learn about our solar system, eclipses, and more. Then, weather permitting, we will exit the building to peer at the dark night sky with telescopes and binoculars.

Homework Help

Homework help for elementary school children.  Kids in grades K - 5 can drop by the Youth Services department for some free, friendly help from a local teen.  Homework is always a little easier with a buddy to talk it over with!

Listen to stories and do an activity.  For children aged 3 1/2 to 5, but not yet in kindergarten.    Children go into the story room by themselves, but parent or caregiver must remain in the children's area.
